Appointments guide: sell sessions, classes and meetings

Updated on

With Appointments you sell your time: classes, consultations, coaching, one-on-one or group sessions. You set when you're available, and your audience picks a time, pays and gets booked.

How to get started

  1. In your dashboard, go to Monetization → Appointments Shop.
  2. Tap Add.

At the top you'll see three tabs:

  • Products: your bookable services.
  • Sales: the bookings you receive.
  • Settings: options that apply to all your appointments.

Create a bookable service

Tap Add and choose Appointment. Fill in the form:

Image, title and description

  • Cover: we recommend 800 × 800 px.
  • Sample video: optional. A YouTube or Vimeo link.
  • Title: for example, "1-on-1 guitar lesson".
  • Description: what the session includes, who it's for and how it works.

Appointment configuration

  • Duration: how long each session lasts, from 15 minutes to 5 hours.
  • Timezone: the timezone you set your hours in. Your audience sees times in this same timezone, shown when they book.
  • Location: where the session happens:
    • In person: enter the Address. It's public information.
    • Google Meet: eSponsor creates the Google Meet for you. You need to connect Google Calendar (see below).
    • Online: paste your meeting Url (for example, Zoom).

Availability

For each day of the week, add the time blocks when you're available, with a start and end time. You can have several blocks per day and turn each one on or off.

eSponsor splits those blocks by your session length. For example, if you're available from 10:00 to 12:00 and your session lasts 1 hour, your audience sees 10:00 and 11:00.

  • Allow multiple bookings: turn it on for group classes. Under Slots limit, set how many people can book the same time.
  • Date overrides: with Add override you mark dates or times when you're not available, like holidays. You can block a specific time or mark it Unavailable all day.

Connect Google Calendar

If you connect your Google account with Continue with Google:

  • eSponsor checks your calendar and doesn't offer times when you're already busy.
  • New bookings are added to your calendar.
  • You can use Google Meet as the location.

Choose which calendar meetings are booked in and checked for conflicts.

Instructions, price and configuration

  • Instructions to buyer: optional. What people should know after booking, for example the exact address or what to bring.
  • Price: how much the session costs. If you leave it at 0, it's free.
  • Published: shows the service so people can book it.
  • Service 18+: shows a warning before people see it, if the content is for adults only.
  • Tags: group your services by topic.
  • Notify your audience: we email your followers about your new service.

Tap Add to create it.

Your services list

In the Products tab you see each service with its Name, Status, Price, Sales and Profits. You can drag them to change their order.

From each service's menu you can See, Edit, Share, Export buyers (once it has sales) or Remove it.

Want to offer deals? Create coupons in Monetization → Discounts.

Where your audience sees it

  • Your Link in Bio: when you create your appointments shop, an appointments block is added to your page. You can move or remove it in the editor.
  • Your website: with the Appointments module you get a page listing all your services (for example, yoursite.com/appointments) and a page for each one. You can also add the Appointments block to any page with the services you pick. Read the complete website guide.

People who book pick an available day and time, pay and get a confirmation with the session details.

Your bookings

In the Sales tab you see three numbers at the top: Products sold, Last 30 days and Total sales.

Below is the list with the Sponsor (who booked), the service, the Price paid and the Date. Tap View to open each booking's details, with the booked time and the answers to the fields you ask for at checkout, if you set them up.

Settings

In the Settings tab you can change:

  • Activate schedule: opens or closes your appointments. If you close them, nobody can book. To open them, you need at least one published service.
  • Do you want to notify your followers?: the default for Notify your audience when you create a service.
  • Thank you message: what people see after booking. By default it says "Thank you for your support!".

If you ever see a notice that your appointments shop has been blocked, email info@esponsor.com to sort it out.

Where's my money?

Every booking also shows up in Finance → Sales, with the Appointments module, the commission and the amount you get. There you can filter by service.

The money goes to your Wallet, where you can withdraw it. Read how to withdraw my money.

Tips

  • Connect Google Calendar to avoid bookings that clash with other plans.
  • Leave free time between blocks if you need a break between sessions.
  • Add overrides ahead of time for your holidays.
  • Use the instructions to buyer to explain how to prepare for the session.
