On-demand content guide: get custom requests from your audience
With On-demand content, your audience can ask you for something made just for them: a photo, a video, an audio, a shout-out or whatever you choose to offer. Each person describes their request and suggests a price. You decide whether to accept it.
The best part: your fan is only charged if you accept the request, and you get the money when you deliver the content. That way, both of you are protected.
You can set it up at esponsor.com/challenge.
How to turn it on
- In your Creator dashboard, go to Monetization → On-Demand Content.
- Tap Activate on-demand content.
- Fill in the form (explained below) and tap Activate.
From then on, your audience can send you requests.
What you set up
- Cover Image: the image shown with your request form.
- Description: tell your audience what they can and can't ask you for. For example: "I can record a birthday shout-out, draw your character or take a photo in the outfit you choose".
- Allowed Content: check the types you accept: Photos, Videos, Audio or Others.
- Delivery Time: how long you have to deliver after accepting: less than 7 days, within 15 days or within 30 days.
- Minimum Price: the lowest amount someone can pay for a request. eSponsor has a minimum for each currency, and the form shows you what it is.
- Payment Button Text: what the button says, for example "Request content".
- Notify your audience: let your followers know they can now request content from you.
Where your audience sees it
Once it's on, your On-demand content form shows up:
- On your Link in Bio, as the Challenges (on-demand content) block, which you can move or remove from the editor. Read more in the complete Link in Bio guide.
- On your website, if you add the On-demand content block. Read more in the complete website guide.
What the person making a request sees
Your fan taps the button and fills in:
- Requested content type: they pick from the types you allowed.
- Title and Description: they explain what they want to receive.
- Price to pay: from your minimum price up. We let them know that paying more makes it more likely you'll accept.
- They accept the conditions and save their payment method.
At this point nothing is charged. We only charge them if you accept.
Each person can have only one request in progress with you. When that request is finished, they can send another one.
How to respond to a request
When a new request arrives, we send you a notification and you'll see a number next to On-Demand Content in the menu.
At the top you'll see three tabs:
- Requests: the requests you've received.
- My Requests: the requests you accepted, so you can deliver them.
- Settings: how your On-demand content looks and works.
To respond:
- Go to Requests and tap View on the request.
- Check the title, description, content type, amount and delivery time.
- Tap Accept or Reject. If you reject it, you can write the reason.
When you accept, we charge your fan and let you know once the payment is confirmed. Only then does your delivery time start, so wait for the confirmation before you create the content.
How to deliver the content
- Go to My Requests and find the request.
- Tap Add content.
- Upload the file. It has to match the type requested: if they asked for a video, you can only upload a video.
- If you like, write a Custom message, for example "Thank you for supporting me!". Your fan will see it with the content.
- Tap Send.
The request moves to Completed, your fan gets the content and the money is released to your wallet. If you need to change the file later, use Update content.
Your conditions
Before accepting a request, keep in mind:
- You must meet the delivery time.
- The payment is released when you deliver the content.
- If you don't deliver on time, your fan can ask for a refund. In that case, a refund fee of 5% of the request amount is deducted from your wallet.
