Media guide: your file library

Updated on

Media is your file library on eSponsor. It's where you keep your images, videos, audio and documents so you can use them wherever you like: in your products, posts, tiers, goals and more, without uploading them every time.

You can open it at esponsor.com/app/media-manager/public, or from the side menu of your Creator dashboard under Media.

Public and Private

Your library has two parts. You switch between them with the Public and Private buttons above your files.

PartWhat you keepWho sees it
PublicImages only: covers, galleries and page images.Anyone who visits your page, when you use the image.
PrivateImages, videos, audio and documents: downloadables and paid content.Only people with access, through temporary links that expire on their own.

Use Private for everything you sell or keep for your fans, like a downloadable PDF or the video of a subscribers-only post.

How to upload files

  1. Choose Public or Private.
  2. Tap Upload files.
  3. Pick one or more files.
  4. Tap Add to library.

New files may show Processing… for a few seconds while we prepare the preview. While they're processing, you can't use or delete them.

You can also upload files from any form that asks for an image or a file, with Choose or upload files. Right there you can also pick one that's already in your library.

Your storage

At the top you see the Storage bar, showing how much of your total space you've used and how much your public and private files take up.

Your plan sets how much space you have and the maximum size of a single file. See each plan's limits in all eSponsor features by plan.

If you run out of space, you can't upload more. Delete files you no longer use or upgrade your plan.

Find your files

  • File type: show All types, or only Images, Audio, Video or Documents.
  • All / Unused: with Unused you only see files you aren't using anywhere. Handy for freeing up space.
  • Grid view or list view: choose how to see your files.

File details

Tap a file to open its File details: name, type, size, upload date and visibility. You also see Used in, the list of places where that file appears, with a button to open each one.

From there you can:

  • Download the file.
  • Use file to create something new with it (explained below).
  • Delete file.

Some videos are stored for playback only, so they can't be downloaded.

Use a file to create something new

With Use file you choose what you want to create, and the file is already added.

With a public image you can create:

  • A Goal, with the image as its cover.
  • A Product or service for your shop.
  • A Wish for your list.
  • A subscription Tier.
  • An Appointment/Ticket.

With a private file you can create:

  • A Product or service, with the file as a downloadable.
  • An image, video or audio Post, depending on the file.
  • A Blog, if it's an image, which becomes the cover.

Anything you delivered through On-Demand Content was made for one person, so it can't be used again.

Delete a file

To delete a file, open it and tap Delete file. We'll ask you to confirm. It's deleted permanently.

If the file is in use, it can't be deleted. First remove it from the content it appears in, listed under Used in, then delete it.

To learn how to publish with your files, see the Content manager guide and the shop guide.
